OUR STORY
Then, and Now
OUR HISTORY
Near France on the real Yser, the proud industrial building of Feys stand watching and shining over the Westhoek.
These mighty buildings of the 5 generations of mayor and brewer family: even before WWI, the early industrialised FEYS grew into a leading brewery with top beers such as Forte Brune. The brewery ceased operations in August 1965, but the story did not end... the passion revived!

Today the heritage and the story behind it, but also the surrounding environment, the Yser Valley, and our sustainable co-housing create an oasis of peace. We are happy to welcome you!
Join us at the Yser Valley where the best beer used to be brewed, and where we learn not only art, but also culture, craftsmanship and traditional as well as innovative techniques during the renovation.
THE RESTORATION
Average actions can only produce average results. Renovating something that no one dared to start took our full attention in the previous 12 years. Hendrik is the driving force behind the rescue of this industrial heritage building. Whenever possible, he’ll speak to you personally and even give you a tour. But beware, passion is contagious and there is a good chance that you’ll come back one day.
